Check the status of your driver license, eligibility to elect driver school in lieu of points, update your insurance information, update your SSN, and get parental access to minor's driving history by visiting the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles' website.
Florida has documentation requirements for residents renewing or obtaining a new driver license or identification card. For office visits, you must bring an original birth certificate; proof of residential address; and either a social security card, valid passport, or current identification card that proves your identity. You will also need proof of name change, if applicable (marriage certificate, divorce certificate, etc.).
